HANOVER Gladys Mae Brown, 92, passed away on Sunday, December 9, 2012, at her home with her son by her side. She was the wife of the late Loren Ross Brown who died in 1965. She was born July 29, 1920, in Hanover the daughter of the late Luke Werner and Naomi Cora (Hassler) Rohrbaugh. Mrs. Brown graduated from Shippensburg University with a Bachelor's Degree in Education and was an elementary school teacher. She was employed with the Conemaugh Township School District, Somerset County and the Bedford Area School District, Bedford County. She also served as a substitute teacher in the Hanover and South Western School Districts. Mrs. Brown was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Hanover and was a very kind person. She is survived by her son, Barry E. Brown of Hanover; brother, Earl Rohrbaugh; and sisters, Madeline Mitchell and her husband, Guy and Jean Palmer and her husband, Ernest all of Hanover.
