BONNEAUVILLE Dorothy G. "Connie" Conahan, 92, entered into God's eternal care, Thursday, January 24, 2013, at the Gettysburg Center. Born July 3, 1920, in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Gerald and Florence (Donnelly) Conahan. Connie was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, Bonneauville. She was also a member of the Catholic War Veterans of Bonneauville. She served her country proudly in the United States Army, WAC-Women's Army Corp. She was previously employed by Sears Department Store in Philadelphia. Connie was also the co-owner of one of the first Carvel Ice Cream stores as well as various laundromats in New York. Connie is survived by her business associate and dearest friend, Kay Jones of Gettysburg; her brother, Joseph Conahan of Philadelphia; her sister, Mary Whittle of Levittown; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, Gerald Conahan, and her sister, Florence Miller. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, January 28, 2013, at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, 12 E. Hanover St., Bonneauville, with Fr. Augusty T. Valomchalil as the Celebrant. As per Connie's wishes, there will be no viewing. Burial will be in St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church Cemetery, Bonneauville. Full military honors will be provided by the Hanover Allied Veterans Council. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Connie may be made to St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, 12 E. Hanover St., Gettysburg, PA 17325. The Kenworthy Funeral Home, Inc., 66 E. Hanover St., Bonneauville, has been entrusted by the family with the funeral arrangements.
