HANOVER Mary Louise "Tootie" Cornbower, 74, went to be with the angels on Wednesday, February 20, 2013, at her home after a courageous battle with cancer with her loving husband of 53 years, Charles L. by her side. Born January 21, 1939, in Hanover, she was the daughter of the late George and Annie (Adams) Little. Mary was a member of Sacred Heart Basilica in Edgegrove and a life member of SAVES. Mary enjoyed crocheting, reading, trout fishing, going for walks and especially spending time with family. Surviving, in addition to her husband, are the "Kids"; JoAnn Klunk and her husband Brian, Jim Kitzmiller and his wife Sharon, Janice Zinn and her husband Wayne, Judy Kitzmiller and Jenny Long and her husband Dwayne all of Hanover; two brothers, Nick Little of Hanover and Ed Little of Gettysburg; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by five brothers, Leroy, Leon, Rodney, Carroll, and Lester Little; and one sister, Regina Kitzmiller. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart Basilica, Edgegrove, with Rev. Lawrence J. McNeil officiating. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Friends and relatives will be received Friday 6 to 8 p.m. at Murphy Funeral Home, 501 Ridge Ave., McSherrystown with prayers at 8 p.m. Serving as pallbearers will be Matt Klunk, Steve Zinn, Bryan Long, Josh Kitzmiller, Kenny Kuhn and Ronnie Cornbower.
