GETTYSBURG Vivian I. "Onie" (McGlaughlin) Sibert, 93, died Saturday, March 2, 2013, at the Gettysburg Lutheran Home. She was the wife of James L. Sibert, who died April 23, 2004. Onie was born December 20, 1919, in Fairfield, the daughter of the late Earl W. and Grace (Bigham) McGlaughlin. Onie was a member of St. Paul's "The Pines" Lutheran Church, was a 1937 graduate of Fairfield High School, and attended beauty school in York after which she owned her own beauty shop in Fairfield. She was also employed at shoe factories in Fairfield, East Berlin, New Oxford, and Hanover, and was employed by Straban Township. Onie is survived by several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by four brothers, Ira, Paul, Dale, and Kenneth McGlaughlin. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 5, 2013, at 11 a.m. at St. Paul's "The Pines" Lutheran Church, 1535 Hunterstown- Hampton Road, New Oxford, with her pastor, the Rev. Benson Paull, officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. A viewing will be held on Tuesday at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
