HANOVER Joel Emerson Hostetter, 73, passed away March 7, 2013. He was the son of the late Purcell and Mildred Hostetter. He was also the husband of the late Delores Hostetter. Joel was a U.S. Navy veteran, a member of the Elks and the McSherrystown Fish & Game Assoc. He owned and operated the Best Beauty Supply of Hanover. He loved fly fishing and spending time with his family and grandchildren. Joel was also an activist and educator for ovarian cancer awareness. Surviving are his son, David Hostetter and wife Cindy; grandchildren, Matthew, Lauren and Adam Hostetter; step-sons, Randy Kemp and wife Deb, Andy Kemp and wife Tammy; step-grandchildren, Jessica Barley and husband Rick, Nathan, Logan, and Mitchell Kemp; step-great-granddaughter, Brynn. Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition. Arrangements by Auer Cremation Services of Pennsylvania, Inc.
