SPRING GROVE William O. Wentz, 22, passed away suddenly on March 24, 2013. William was born in York on April 12, 1990. He attended Spring Grove High School and graduated from York County High School in 2008. He played soccer, baseball and lacrosse when he was younger. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, hiking, rock climbing and being outdoors. He is survived by his mother, Jalinda E. Leathery of Spring Grove and his father, Jere A. Wentz of Hanover; his sister, Brandy O'Dell of California; his maternal grandmother, Arlene Leathery; his paternal grandfather, Fred E. Wentz; his paternal great-grandfather, Russell A. Wentz and his "step-sisters" Ashley Newcomber and Amber Senft. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Carmon Leathery Jr.; and his paternal grandmother, Pearl E. Wentz. A funeral service in celebration of his life will be held on Thursday at 8 p.m. at Irwin-beck Funeral Home & Cremation Service PC, 175 N Main St., Spring Grove. A viewing will be held on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
