HANOVER Larry E. Worley, 75, entered into God's eternal care, Sunday, May 5, 2013, at his home with his loving family by his side. Larry was the loving husband of Judy C. (Sheetz) Worley with whom he shared 54 years of marriage. Born February 21, 1938, in Kingsdale, he was the son of the late Harry C. and Marie (Plunkert) Worley. Larry retired in 2000, after being a truck driver for over forty years, having driven for York Concrete, Fleming Foods and L&H Trucking. He also worked part-time for the Littlestown Police Department. Larry was a Captain of the Fire Police of Alpha Fire Company of Littlestown, for 30 years and also volunteered at the annual carnival for numerous years. He was also a member of the Littlestown F.O.E. #2226. Larry was a veteran of the United States Air Force, serving his country proudly from 1957-1963. In addition to his wife and mother, Larry is survived by three children, Penny Smith of Littlestown, Ted Worley of Fredericksburg, Va., and Tony Worley, Sr. of Littlestown; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Karen Swartz and Loretta Werner both of Littlestown. He was preceded in death by a son, Randy B. Worley. A service to celebrate and remember Larry's life will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Kenworthy Funeral Home, Inc., 269 Frederick St., Hanover, with his grandson-in-law, James Gould officiating. Burial will be in Marburg Memorial Gardens, 2510 Grandview Road, Hanover. A viewing and time to share memories with the family will be held from 12:30 to 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions in memory of Larry may be made to the Hospice program of the VNA of Hanover & Spring Grove, 440 N. Madison St., Hanover, PA 17331.
