WESTMINSTER, MD Mr. Michael Lloyd Bangs, Sr., 58, died Sunday, August 4, 2013, due to injuries sustained in a two-truck accident at Rt. 140 and Hughes Shop Road. Born November 14, 1954, in Frederick County, he was the son of the late Lloyd Osborne Bangs and Charlotte Delphey Ball. Mr. Bangs worked in custom cabinetry since he was 17 years old and was currently employed with Glenn Raver Cabinetry of Hampstead, Md. He was a member of V.F.W. Post #8806 of Union Bridge, Md. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and riding his motorcycle. Surviving are a daughter, Jennifer Baker and husband, Brian of Union Bridge; two sons, Tim Bangs of Union Bridge, Md., and Michael Bangs Jr. of Littlestown; a stepdaughter, Stacy Pence of McSherrystown; four stepsons, Eddie, Brett, and Bryan Lookingbill, all of Littlestown, and Tim Lookingbill of Hanover; four grandchildren, Katelynn, Tanner, Kearstin, and Braiden; four stepgrandchildren, Christian, Haley, Jasmine, and Bryson; two sisters, Darlene Patterson of Maryville, Tenn., and Kimberly Forney of Littlestown; two brothers, Wayne O. Bangs of Baker, La., and Robert L. Tighe, with whom he resided; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Bonnie Davis, and two brothers, Terry and Timmy Tighe. The family will receive friends at Hartzler Funeral Home, 6 E. Broadway, Union Bridge, Wednesday, from 11 a.m. until time of service at 1 p.m. Officiating will be the Rev.
