HANOVER Janet L. DeFrain, 75, entered into God's eternal care Sunday, September 1, 2013, at the Hanover Hospital. Janet was the loving wife of Rodney C. DeFrain, with whom she shared 54 years of marriage. Born March 10, 1938, in Bloomsburg, she was the daughter of the late Norton and Vera (Duty) Lewis. Janet was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ. Janet enjoyed traveling with her husband, fishing at Codorus, shopping, playing bingo, tending to her plants and orchids, which she loved taking care of, and she especially loved spending time with her grandson, Tyler, and her family and friends. In addition to her husband, Janet is survived by two children, Todd C. DeFrain and Pam J. Long, both of Hanover; one grandson, Tyler E. Long; and one sister, Joanne Downs of Bloomsburg. Following cremation a memorial service to celebrate and remember Janet's life will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, September 5, 2013, at the Kenworthy Funeral Home, Inc., 269 Frederick St., Hanover, with the Rev. Robert Codington officiating. As per Janet's wishes, all should dress casually and wear flip-flops. A time share memories with the family will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday, September 5, 2013, at the funeral home. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
