TAMPA, FL Mark L Yost, Jr., "Coach Yost', passed away peacefully at his home on August 15, 2013. Born August 30, 1943, he is preceded in death by his father, Mark Sr., mother, Viola, and brother, Harold. Surviving loved ones are his wife, Debbie; sons, Mark III, (wife Clarissa) and Jason, (wife Shannon); grandchildren, Samantha, Mark IV, and Joseph, all of Tampa, Fla.; and sister, Patricia Hudson, Palestine, Texas. Mark, known as "Hawkeye" graduated from Eichelberger High School in 1961. After serving in the Air Force, he earned a master's in Education from the University of Tampa. He worked as a teacher for the Hillsborough County Schools for 25 years. He will be remembered most as the wrestling coach at Hillsborough High School. He was a member of the Florida Frontiersman. He will be remembered as a passionate coach, teacher, mentor, avid outdoorsman and a loving father, grandfather and husband. A memorial service was held on September 3, 2013, at the Wellspring UMC in Tampa. Memorial donations may be made to American Diabetes Foundation.
