WESTMINSTER, MD Miriam Wentz Hollinger, 86, died Friday, September 27, 2013, in Manchester, Md., at the home of her nephew and his wife, Maurice and Linda Wentz, after a brief illness. She was the wife of Raymond L. Hollinger, who died September 15, 1991. Born September 14, 1927, in Carroll County, Md., she was the daughter of the late Earl C. and Estella Coppersmith Wentz. She was a homemaker. For 29 years she worked in the cafeteria at West Middle School and retired in June, 1990. She was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 467 Auxiliary and a member of AARP. She dedicated her life to taking care of her son and was a member of the ARC of Carroll County of which she and her husband were charter members and helped to organize, and a member of CHANGE, Inc. She was a member of St. Mary's United Church of Christ where she enjoyed going to Bible Study and the "Seniors Keeping in Touch" phone calls. Surviving are many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by son, William Raymond Hollinger, on February 22, 2010; and by brothers, Leroy C., Raymond E., Maurice W., and Norman U. Wentz. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 4 to 6 p.m. at Pritts Funeral Home & Chapel, (chapel entrance), 412 Washington Road, Westminster, Md. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Monday at 11 a.m. Officiating will be Pastor David Scafide of Manchester Baptist Church. Interment will follow in St. Marys Cemetery in Silver Run, Md. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CHANGE, Inc., 300 S.
