HANOVER James H. Knaub, 86, passed away Tuesday, October 22, 2013, at the Hanover Hospital. He was the loving husband of 60 years to Betty L. (Parrill) Knaub who died August 12, 2007. He was born December 12, 1926, in Hanover, the son of the late Harry S. and Mary (Zorbaugh) Knaub. Mr. Knaub served his country in the U.S. Navy during WW II and was a member of Bethel United Church of Christ, Spring Grove. He and his wife owned and operated Knaub's Bakery on Baltimore St. in Hanover. In addition, he worked at Revonah Pretzel, Hanover and retired from P.H. Gladfelter, Spring Grove. Mr. Knaub was a member of Amvets Post 22, Hanover; VFW Post 2506, Hanover; American Legion Post 14, Hanover; Eagles Aries 1406, Hanover, the New Oxford Social Club and the Hanover Republican Club. He is survived by his children, Harry "Butch" Knaub and his wife Donna, Spring Grove, Carl Knaub and his wife Joan, Hanover, Robert Knaub and his wife Teresa, Hanover, Douglas Knaub and his wife Sharon, Williamsport, Md., Belinda Matthews and her husband Julius, Glenville, and Vickie Shastay, Bensalem; brother, Donald Knaub, Hanover; 12 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and a great-great-granddaughter. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Betty Stine, Gloria Adams and Shirley Gross. A graveside committal service will be held Saturday, October 26, 2013, at 10 a.m. at Marburg Memorial Gardens, 2510 Grandview Road, Hanover. Full military honors will be conducted by the Hanover Allied Veterans Honor Guard. There will be no viewing. Contributions in memory of James H.
