WESTMINSTER, MD Carmen L. Crum, 70, died Wednesday afternoon, January 15, 2014, at Carroll Hospital Center. Born September 8, 1943 in Westminster, she was the daughter of the late Edwin S. Jones and Laura O. Stocksdale Jones Gaver. She was the wife of Larry E. Crum. Carmen was retired from Carroll Children's Center, where she worked as a Medical Secretary/Receptionist. She was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, where she was a former Sunday School teacher. She belonged to the "Street Cars of Desire" Car Club and a former member of the Hanover Bicycle Club. She enjoyed bird watching and antiquing and her family and friends. She enjoyed reading books by Joyce Meyer and Joel Osteen. Surviving in addition to her husband are her children and spouses, Kevin E. and Shelly Crum of Westminster, and Karen "Kari" and Mike Thompson of Manchester; brothers and spouses, Sterling "Bobby" and Madeline Jones of Finksburg and Thomas J. and Darlene Jones of Westminster; sister, Sharon M. Garland of North Carolina; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.She was predeceased by her brother, Edwin "Billy" Jones. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, January 20 from the Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 91 Willis St., Westminster, MD. Entombment will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens, Finksburg. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Contributions may be made in her name to Susan G.
