LITTLESTOWN Doris E. Hawn, 93, died early Saturday morning, January 25, 2014, at Hanover Hall. She was the widow of Carroll E. Hawn, who died November 28, 1996. Born January 1, 1921, in Union Bridge, Md., she was the last surviving child of the late George and Gertrude (Saylor) Eyler. Doris was a 1938 graduate of Liberty High School of Carroll County. She retired in 1983 from Kessler Shoe Co., Littlestown. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Littlestown. Surviving are two sons, C. Edward Hawn, Jr. and wife, Linda of Marion, S.C., and Mark W. Hawn and wife, Sandra, of Hanover; a daughter, Carol J. Bollinger and husband, Neal of Littlestown; seven grandchildren, Holli Franck and companion, Mike, Chad Hawn and wife, Jennifer, Sergei Hawn, Dawn Rucker and husband, Joe, Megan Hawn and fiance, Brinton Davis, Brad Hawn, and Matt Hawn; and five great-grandchildren. Doris was predeceased by granddaughter, Heather Hawn; two brothers; and six sisters. Funeral service is Wednesday, January 29, at 11 a.m. at Little's Funeral Home, Littlestown, with The Rev. S. A. Garrett officiating. Viewing is Tuesday 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment is in Pipe Creek Cemetery, near New Windsor, Md. Online condolences may be shared on www.littlesfh.com
