LITTLESTOWN L. Robert Snyder, 90, died Thursday, July 31, at York Hospital. He was born May 27, 1924, in Littlestown and was the son of the late Luther D. and Mary Belle (Wambaugh) Snyder. He was predeceased by his wife of 65 years, Dorothy (Taylor) Snyder who died June 27, 2012. He is survived by his daughter, Nancy S. Chambers and husband, Jack, of Gettysburg; son, Steven L. Snyder and wife, Alice; and daughter, Diane M. Snyder and partner, Ernest Fredrikis, all of Littlestown. Surviving also are four grandchildren: David L. Snyder, Littlestown, Danielle Stansberry, Dunedin, Fla.; Heidi Sumser, Washington, D.C., and Jayson Fredrikis, Littlestown; and five great-grandchildren. Bob graduated from Littlestown High School, attended Bucknell University and graduated from Western Maryland College. He was the chairman of the board at Littlestown Foundry, Inc., where he was employed and part owner for over 67 years. He was ACNB Director for many years. He was a member, past church council member and former director of the chancel choir for many years at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Littlestown. He was a former Littlestown school board member. Bob was a 60-year member of the Rotary Club of Littlestown. He started and directed the Littlestown Men's Chorus in the early 1950s. Bob was a charter member of the Littlestown Jaycees, a 50-year member of the Annapolis Yacht Club and enjoyed boating, winters in Florida, but especially the people and scenery in Nova Scotia. Funeral Service is Monday, Aug. 4, at 12 noon at his church, with his pastor, the Rev. Alex Martini officiating. There will be no viewing, however, the family will receive friends on Monday from 10 a.m. to 12 noon at the church. Interment will be in Mount Carmel Cemetery, Littlestown. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 53 W. King St., Littlestown, PA 17340. Online condolences on
