Howard H. Cool Sr.

HANOVER Howard H. Cool, Sr., 77, formerly of Littlestown, died Tuesday, September 23, 2014, at York Hospital. Born June 4, 1937, in Littlestown, he was the son of the late James L. and Burdella S. (Baker) Cool. He had been employed with Cambridge Rubber Co. of Taneytown, Md., and was retired from Plainview Farms of New Oxford after 15 years of service. Surviving are two daughters, Beverly G. Barnhart and Jennifer L. Cool, both of Hanover; six sons, Howard H. Cool, Jr. of Littlestown, Donald E. Cool, Sr. of Orrtanna, Henry J. Cool and Sam L. Cool, both of Hanover, and Robin L. Cool and John E. Cool, both of New Oxford; 14 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two brothers, Harry Cool and Frank S. Cool, both of Littlestown; and two sisters, Ethel Berger of Littlestown and Evelyn Hammer of Gettysburg. Howard was predeceased by two brothers, Lester and Arthur Cool; and two sisters, Jane Fox and Alda Cool. He attended Bethel Assembly of God, Littlestown, and he loved fishing and bowling. Funeral service is Friday, September 26, at 2 p.m. at Little's Funeral Home, Littlestown, with Pastor S.A. Garrett, of Gates of Praise Worship Center, Littlestown, officiating. Viewing is 1 to 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Interment is in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens, Gettysburg. Contributions in Howard's name may be made to one's favorite charity.
