Richard Paul Klinedinst, 79, entered God's eternal care, Saturday, June 17, 2017 at the Hanover Hospital.
Born March 21, 1938 in Hanover, he was the son of the late Mahlon and Beatrice (Geiman) Klinedinst. Richard was the loving husband of Ruth A. (Bollinger) Klinedinst who died March 4, 2011.
Richard was a member of Christ United Church of Christ, Littlestown. He was a 1956 graduate of Eichelberger High School.
Richard was a life-long carpenter, having built or remodeled many homes in the greater Hanover area over a career spanning over 50 years. He enjoyed being outdoors, riding his bike, cutting wood and tending his vegetable garden. Richard also liked hiking and appreciated the natural beauty he found while visiting parks across the country with his family. He was a sports enthusiast who enjoyed playing ball and keeping up with the Orioles.
Richard is survived by his three daughters, Julie A. Eline and husband, Roger of Spring Grove, Cindy K. Zumbrum and husband, Jerry of Gainesville, VA, Lynn M. Giraffa and husband, Anthony of Hanover; six grandchildren, Leeann Eline and husband, Justin Clinger, Matthew Eline and girlfriend, Jessica Krebs, Andrea Zumbrum, Victoria Zumbrum and husband, Dustin Lee, Alexis Giraffa and husband, Cody Kephart, and Jacob Giraffa; one great-granddaughter, Anna; one sister, Elaine Sneeringer; and two brothers, Ray Klinedinst and Fred Klinedinst.
A funeral service to celebrate and remember Richard's life will be held 11 a.m., Thursday, June 22, 2017 at the Kenworthy Funeral Home, Inc., 269 Frederick St., Hanover, with the Rev. Scott A. Sager officiating. Burial will be in Christ United Church of Christ Cemetery, Littlestown. A viewing and time to share memories with the family will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at the funeral home. Serving as casketbearers will be Richard's grandchildren, Alexis and Jacob, Leeann and Matthew, and Andrea and Victoria.

Sad to see that another classmate has passed
away from our Eichelberger High School -class of
1956 family. Richard did carpentry work for my
parents when they moved from the farm into
their home on Locust Street. God bless you all.
