ARKPORT - Richard E. Ellis, 45, of 551 Bishopville Road, passed away Monday (Oct. 7, 2013).
Born in Hornell Aug. 17, 1968, the son of Eugene and Jacquelyn Fisher Ellis, he had resided in the Arkport area all his life. He was self-employed in logging, construction and farming.
He was predeceased by his father.
He is survived by his mother, Jackie Ellis of Arkport; his longtime friend and companion, Etelka Button of Almond; four daughters, Jennifer Ellis of Bath, Amy Cyphert of Andover, Lindy Outman of Whitesville, and Chrissy Cyphert of Wellsboro, Pa.; his sister, Debra (Bert) Price of Arkport; his brothers, William (Sally Allen) Ellis of Almond and Charles (Tina) Ellis of Fairport; four grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

Honoring Ricky's wishes, there will be no visiting hours. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
