George H. Frew Sr. Obituary
WAYLAND – George H. Frew Sr. of Wayland passed away Saturday afternoon, (Nov. 23, 2013) at the Vincent House Comfort Care Facility in Wayland.

George was born May 9, 1931, in Richmond, the son of Vincent and Frances (Kelly) Frew.

George has resided in different areas that included Richmond and Caledonia for several years, moving to the Wayland area in 1972. He then moved to Naples for a period of time before moving back to Wayland in 1986, where he has resided ever since.

George's employment career was mostly spent at the Gleason Company in Rochester. He worked there for more than 38 years, retiring in the fall of 1991. George and Marie Worden Domm were married May 19, 1984, and together have celebrated more than 29 years together.

George was a member of several local organizations that included the Wayland Sons of American Legion, the Moose Club and the Elder Statesman Club. He enjoyed volunteering at the Bath Veterans Affairs Medical Center, logging in more than 4,000 volunteer hours. George also enjoyed watching baseball.

George was predeceased by his parents, Vincent and Frances Frew; a daughter, Sheralee Frew; brothers, Robert, Donald and Richard Frew; and his sister, Kathy Frew.

He is survived by his wife, Marie Frew of Wayland; his children, George Jr. (Jennifer) Frew of Minnesota, Daniel Frew of Mt. Morris, June "Judy" Delandro of Rochester; his stepchildren, Edward Domm of Kentucky, David (Sharon) Domm of North Cohocton; 12 grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; several great-grandchildren and stepgreat-grandchildren; along with several nieces and nephews.

Geroge's family and friends may call Tuesday from 1-3 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the St. George-Stanton Funeral Home, 109 W. Naples St., Wayland. George's funeral service will be conducted Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Private committal and internment will take place at the Village Cemetery in Wayland.
