Hubbell Davidson Obituary
He was predeceased by his parents, Agnes and Alexander Davidson, and his two brothers, Captain Alexander "Sandy" Davidson, Jr., USMC, and Adam T. Davidson. Hub attended Alfred University for one year before entering the U.S. Naval Academy and graduating with the Class of 1945. He received a Masters Degree in Personnel Administration from George Washington University in 1970. Following his naval career of 29 years, he worked at a variety of companies in the Washington DC area. "Hub" was a USNA lightweight crew coach and an avid supporter of the Navy crew team.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara, and two daughters, Christine Hohenstein (Clyde) and Eleanor Hayden (John), four grandchildren and three great-granddaughters.
A memorial service will be held at the U.S. Naval Academy Chapel on Sept. 27 at 10 a.m., followed by committal at the Naval Academy Columbarium.
In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made in his memory to the Hornell YMCA, 18 Center St., Hornell, NY 14843, or to Navy Crew Excellence Fund in memory of Hubbell Davidson '45, USNA Foundation (Attn: Rusty Yeiser), 291 Wood Rd, Beach Hall, Annapolis, MD 21402.

Hub Davidson was truly a caring neighbor and friend to our family, the Skinner's. I am quite grateful that we were able to have known him as he shared some of his life's highlights with us and he set a great example for all of us. May you rest in peace, "Mr. Wilson"!

Cdr Davidson was the Ops Officer in VP-10 when I arrived in Rota, Spain in 1959 as a fresh green ensign. He was one of my most favorite people there, what a great person and leader. It was an honor to know him.
