Marie Street Obituary
Jean was born Jan. 22, 1935, in Groveland, the daughter of the late Elizabeth (Hathaway) Holbrook.
Jean worked for many years at the Blum Shoe Factory in Dansville and then at Craig Developmental Center in Sonyea as a teaching assistant.
After many hard years of work, she was able to retire and enjoy her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and staying on the hill to enjoy the countryside. She was a longtime Canaseraga American Legion Auxiliary member.
She was predeceased by her husband, Carl "Ky" Spike; her brothers, John and Gerald; and her sisters, Doris, Shirley and Rose.
She is survived by her son, Carl (Laurie) Spike; a daughter, Diana (Robert) Blakley; her grandchildren, Christie (Marty) Swauger, Ryan (Katie) Blakley, Josiah Spike and Cydney Spike; her great-grandchildren, Cassidy Swauger and Gavin Swauger; along with her faithful cat, Suzie.
As per Jean's request, there will be no prior calling hours or services for her.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Hornell Area Humane Society, 7649 Industrial Park Road, Hornell, NY 14843, or the Canaseraga American Legion Auxiliary, 83 W. Main St., Canaseraga, NY 14822.
Arrangements are by the Mann Funeral Home Inc., Canaseraga.
