Zastrow, Jesse Ray
The Guest Book is expired.
Jesse Ray Zastrow, passed away unexpectedly, November 7, 2013. He was born March 4, 1985 in Wausau. Survivors include his father, Duane (Sherri Plisch) Zastrow; mother Laura Connell; brothers, Ben (nephew Logan) Zastrow, Steve Zastrow, Clint (Beth) Osborn, Jacob (Amanda) O'Keefe; Grandma Jean Zastrow; Grandma Ruth Olcott, and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers Ray Zastrow and Burt Olcott.
Jesse's love and compassion for his family was never ending. He took great pride in teaching others. Hunting and fishing were his true passions. In recent months, Jesse accomplished a lifelong goal of "a trophy walleye" not one but five times with three fish over the 30 inch mark. He also had great hunting success with three trophy whitetails, including two impressive eight pointers and a big ten pointer.
Jesse had a warm heart for all children, especially his brother Ben's one year old son Logan. He often talked about all the future hunting and fishing trips and the things he could teach Logan, like his grandpa taught him.
Jesse and his grandpa Ray were very close; they took many hunting and fishing trips. With grandpa always showing him how to do things with his own hands; this was cherished by Jesse. Grandpa's recent passing hurt him deeply as it did all of us.
Dear Lord Jesus, we pray for your guiding hand on grandpa Ray's shoulder, because Jesse has already asked him, "Grandpa can you show me the way?"
