Aleen Evangeline Molz, 92, longtime area teacher and educator died Thursday August 8, 2013 in Bartlesville.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 A. M. on Monday August 12, 2013 at the Stumpff Funeral Home Chapel, with Dr. Joe Dan Fowler officiating. Graveside Services will be at 3:30 P.M. on Monday at the Elwood Cemetery in Hardtner, Kansas under the direction of the Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory.
A Memorial has been established in her name to the Baptist Children's Home c/o Oklahoma Baptist Homes for Children 3800 N. May Avenue, Oklahoma City, OK. 73112.
Mrs. Molz was born on August 26, 1920 in Woods County, near Alva, Oklahoma to Harry C. and Reva Mae (Griffin) Molz. She was raised and received her education there and later graduated with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Education from Northwestern State University at Alva, Oklahoma.
Miss Moles came to Bartlesville in the early 1950's and was a teacher and educator in the Bartlesville School System for over 40 years, teaching primarily third grade at Will Rogers and Hoover, Washington and Limestone Schools. She was a member of the Washington County Retired Educators, and in 1999 was voted as a Very Important member. She was also a member of the Sigma Sigma Sigma Sorority, and the Delta Kappa Gamma Society, as well as a longtime member of the First Baptist Church, where she was active in the Senior Sunday School class, had taught Sunday School, and was active in the WMU program. She will be best remembered for her laughter and jolly spirit, and her lover for her Lord, her church, and her family.
She is survived by one brother Carl G. Molz of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and by a niece Marquetta Wilcox of Arlington, Texas, and by a nephew David Carl Molz of Olatha, Kansas, and by a number of close friends, and church family. She was preceded in death by her parents Harry C. and Reva Mae Molz, and a sister Dixie I. Molz in May of this year.
