Alfred Nelson "Hi" Highfield(1923-2013)

Alfred "Hi" Highfield passed away Sunday, August 11, 2013.
Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, August 15, 2013 in the Walker-Brown Chapel with Reverend Brian Schexnayder officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Military Rites will be conducted by the American Legion Post #105 Honor Guard. Arrangements are under the direction of Walker-Brown Funeral Home.
Alfred Nelson Highfield was born May 2, 1923 in Watova, OK to Fred and Etta Mae (Crupper) Highfield. Alfred proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII. Being a welder by trade, Alfred dedicated 23 years of service to Superior Welding in Bartlesville. He was a member of the Eagles Lodge, Bartlesville American Legion and VFW. As an avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting and fishing whenever possible.
Alfred is survived by four sons; Fred Highfield and wife Jackie of Mt. Pleasant, TN, Steven Highfield and wife Janet of Oklahoma City, Roger Highfield and wife Sharon of Spring, TX and Jeff Highfield and wife Dee of Barnsdall. Two daughters; Linda and husband Alan Bradford of Bartlesville, Debbie and husband Roger Clark of Bartlesville. He was blessed with 12 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.
Alfred was preceded in death by his wife, Gloria Bernice (Snider) Highfield, his parents, one brother, Quenten, two sisters, Florence and Esther and one great-grandson, Justin Dodson.
