Allen Leslie Burkart, age 73 of Sand Springs passed away on Monday, October 15, 2012 in Sand Springs.
Allen was born on October 18, 1938 in Dewey, Oklahoma to Hubert and Alice (Johnson) Burkart. He graduated from Dewey High School and worked as a truck Driver for Pepsi for several years. Allen then went to work as a Machinist with Fabrication Dynamics and married Lillian Belle Chamberlain on February 22, 1992 in Sand Springs. Allen finished up his career working for International Vehicle incorporation in Tulsa as a Welder.
He is survived by his wife Lillian Burkart of Sand Springs, three sons Terry Burkart of Houston, David Burkart of Inola, James Moore and wife Chris of Muskogee, four daughters Karyn Pattison and husband Raymond of Broken Arrow, Vergie Titone and husband Sal of Tulsa, Marybelle Moore of Tulsa, Annabel Moore of Tulsa, three brothers Herbert Leon Burkart of Dewey, George Dewayne Burkart and wife Annie of Ogelsby, Oklahoma, Robert Loyd Burkart of Hulah, Oklahoma, three sisters Della Mae Burkart- Alford and husband Benny of Waskam, Texas, Patricia Ann Burkart -Coyne and husband William Patrick of Peculiar, Missouri and Delores Kay Burkart- Williams of Pawhuska, Oklahoma. Also surviving Allen are twelve great grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Allen was preceded in death by his parents Hubert and Alice Burkart.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, 2:00 p.m., October 18, 2012 at Dillon & Smith Family Legacy Center with reverend Marybelle Moore officiating, burial will follow at Woodland Memorial Park Cemetery.
