Becky was born in Beaver County on December 10, 1938. She lived near her grandparents home near Logan until 1941 when the Davis family moved to a farm near Boise City. She attended a one room school, Hurley School, one mile from the farm for her first few years of school then attended Boise City schools. She helped her mom and dad, four sisters and one brother milk the cows and do chores on the large dry land farm.
When she was just 15 years old she contracted a severe case of polio affecting both her lungs and legs. She was transported near death to Oklahoma Children's Hospital where she was treated and spent several months in an Iron Lung. After six months she returned to her home still not able to walk to continue a difficult rehabilitation process. Becky inspired many during her recovery. In 1957 Becky, her father, mother and brother moved to Tracy, California where her father owned and operated a coffee vending company.
In 1959 Becky and her brother Bud attended Magic Valley Christian College in Albion, Idaho. This created lifelong friends who also attended Pepperdine College with her in Los Angeles, CA. In 1965 Becky and her mother and father moved from California to Bartlesville where she lived the rest of her life. She attended college in Kansas City and earned a degree in computer operations working for Phillips Petroleum for 33 years. She was one of the first data keypunch operators later operating modern day computers until her retirement in 1999.
Although Becky was not married she adopted her nieces and nephews and was a powerful influence on them as they grew up. She lived with her mother and sister Jessie and was a caregiver for her mother who passed away just two years ago at the age 99 years. The three were affectionately known as "the golden girls three". She was a very benevolent person giving of her time and money to her church, the Dewey Church of Christ and a number of mission projects. She was a Bible student and scored high on Bible Bowl competitions and still able to recite many scriptures by memory until her death. She recently wrote a psalm to God that is a comfort to her family in time of grief.
She is survived by her sisters: Jessie (Davis) Bushong of Bartlesville, Charlotte (Davis) Taylor and husband Terrel Taylor of Bartlesville, Nordeen (Davis) Cochran of Spearman, TX, Kathy (Davis) Villanueva and special friend Elmer Martin of Bartlesville, one brother, George (Bud) Davis and wife Janet of Seattle, WA and close friend Karen Williams of Bartlesville. She has 22 nieces and nephews, 51 great nieces and nephews and 29 great great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father Jesse R. Davis in 1969, her mother Mildred I. Davis in 2011 and her brother-in-law Robert Cochran in 2003.
