Caren K. Thompson, 71, resident of Bartlesville, died at 6:50 AM on Friday April 18, 2014 in Bartlesville.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Thompson will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday in the Stumpff Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tom Nace officiating. Interment will be in the Dewey Cemetery at Dewey, Oklahoma under the direction of the Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory.
Miss Thompson was born on March 20, 1943 at Geneseo, Illinois to Roger Allen and Trella Lucille (Collis) Wright. She grew up and received her education in the Tina-Avlon, Missouri area where she graduated from High School. Following her graduation she moved to the Kansas City area to work for Hallmark cards in Kansas City. She made her home most of her adult life in Tina- Chillicothe, Missouri area where she had taught Sunday school at Oakland Christian Church for 15 years. She moved to Bartlesville seven years ago, to make her home near her mother and sisters.
Miss Thompson is survived by her mother Trella Wright of Bartlesville, and by two daughters, Brenda West and husband Wayne of Carrolton, Mo., Rita Jones and husband Larry of Chillicothe Mo., a son Leslie Thompson and wife Michelle of Richmond Mo., by seven grandchildren; Ethan West, Abby and Jasper Jones, Kristina, Jessie, Cheyenne and Gracie Thompson and one great grandson Brenden Thompson. She was preceded in death by her father Roger Allen Wright in December of 1998, and two sisters Loretta Wright, and Ila Iolene Whiteman.
