Cecilia Ann (Dahl) Auschwitz(1950-2013)

Cecilia was born to Tommy and Lola Ann Dahl on 20 August 1950 in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. She left this world surrounded by family and friends on 25 February 2013 at the Oklahoma Heart Hospital, Tulsa, Oklahoma, after a long battle with heart disease.
She received her education in the Barnsdall School system and graduated in May 1969. She married Fred Auschwitz on 23 December 1971, after dating for 5 years; they celebrated their 42 anniversary this past December.
Cecilia was a lifelong member of the Saint Mary's Catholic Church, receiving the sacraments of baptism, confirmation, marriage, and finally the anointing of the sick from her church. Cecilia made homes for her family as they received assignments from the Air Force in Grandview, Missouri, K.I. Sawyer, Michigan, Wiesbaden, West Germany, Denver, Colorado, Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, Montgomery, Alabama, Spokane, Washington, and Yokota Air Base, Japan. They retired to their country home west Barnsdall in 1997.
They have 4 children, Jason, a police officer for the Las Vegas Police Department, Jarrett an elementary school teacher in Hominy, Justin a member of the United States Army working the medical field in Maryland, and Jessica, a fulltime mom living in Colorado Springs. Cecilia worked for the Air and Army Exchange, the military Commissary Service, an art framing business, in real estate, at the Air Force Chaplains School, for the Archdioceses of Spokane, and as English instructor in a Japanese Elementary School, an alternative education aide, and a victim witness coordinator. Foremost, she was a Christian, wife, mother, grandmother and friend to all.
Cecilia had 3 brothers, Hans (who precedes her in death), Tim and Randy Dahl and 3 sisters, Sandie, Cindy and Angie. She has 6 grandsons, Jason Jr., Dylan, Hunter, Andrew, Shawn, and Gabriel who were the loves of her life.
A wake will be held at the family home at 6pm on 1 March, the funeral services will be held at St. Mary's on Saturday 2 March, at 10am. She will lie in state in the Stumpff-Barnsdall Funeral home in Barnsdall on Thursday from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm. and Friday 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.
