Mrs. Delma Lorene Wilson, 97, of Bartlesville, died at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, November 3, 2013 at the Jane Phillips Medical Center.
Funeral services will be 2 P.M. Thursday, November 7, 2013 at the Town & Country Christian Church with Eric Spaulding and Casey Parham officiating. Entombment will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery Mausoleum directed by the Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory.
Mrs. Wilson was born at Dewey, Oklahoma on March 20, 1916 to Earl Hugh and Susie (Cook) Inabnit. She grew up and received her education at Dewey and graduated from Dewey High School. She was married to Clarence Cecil "Sleepy" Wilson on May 19, 1934 at Dewey. They established their home in Bartlesville and Mrs. Wilson was employed as a secretary with the Cities Service Oil Company until her retirement in 1969. Mr. and Mrs. Wilson purchased the Travelers Motel in Bartlesville which they owned and operated for many years. Mr. Wilson preceded her in death on July 27, 1995 and Mrs. Wilson has continued her home in Bartlesville since that time. Mrs. Wilson was a Charter Member of the Town & Country Christian Church in Bartlesville. Mrs. Wilson and her sisters, Earline Lemmons and Wilma Pitman sang at most of the weddings and funerals at the Christian Church in Dewey and the Town & Country Christian Church in Bartlesville for many years. She loved flowers, dogs and pet turtles.
Survivors include five nieces and nephews, Danny Lemmons and wife Kate of Copan, Gary Lemmons and wife Velma of Oklahoma City, Terry Lemmons and wife Mel of Bartlesville, Sam Powell of Nashville, Tennessee and Marjorie Maple of Bartlesville, and a number of great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Earline Lemmons and Wilma Pitman and three nieces and nephews, Lynda Jones, Howard Jones and David Wilson.
