Elizabeth (Libby) Ann Leonard- February 7, 1952 - November 15, 2012
Libby Leonard was born in El Paso Texas in 1952, the only daughter of Barbara and Leslie Stamper. She grew up in Stockton California and moved with her parents to Tempe Arizona where she attended Arizona State University
. It was there she met Richard E Leonard Jr.
They married in 1974, and moved twice in Southern California before settling and raising their three sons (Ed, Brian, and Daniel) in Cardiff by the Sea, California. She was deeply involved with the community, the Presbyterian Church, and youth sports because of her three sons. She moved with her husband and youngest son to Scottsdale Arizona in 1997 and continued her support of youth sports as the Volunteer Coordinator for Junior Golf Association of Arizona. Libby was an active member of Beta Sigma Phi and President of the Xi Gamma Sigma Chapter.
Libby moved with her husband to Bartlesville Oklahoma in 2002. She was the Docent and Tour Director for the Price Tower Arts Center where she promoted youth arts programs. She truly showed her love for others through her work with Concern and the ministries of Good Shepherd Presbyterian Church.
Libby was diagnosed with cancer in February of 2011. She traveled extensively with her husband of 38 years, seeking out and spending time with all of those she knew and loved. Her selflessness and encouragement for all, and her love of life and for the Lord touched everyone she met until she succumbed to cancer.
