Elmer "Lee" Jackson 84 years of age and resident of Bartlesville was given his angel wings and entered into his heavenly fathers house on July 26, 2014. Lee was being cared for by his two daughters, Patti Bogle and Karen McAhren. Many family members and extend family members were present at the time of his death. This includes Chuck and Rhonda Weston of Perkins, OK and Darlene Ramey of Bartlesville.
Lee was born in Wetumka, Oklahoma to Andrew and Edna Jackson. He was the oldest child and brother to Betty Jackson Campbell and Velva Jackson McSpadden both of Amarillo, Texas.
Lee owned and operated several businesses during his life time while traveling extensively all over the United States. Some of them were: owner/operator of contract painting company, furniture store, and a restaurant.
Lee married Elizabeth "Sandy" Rice from Wellington, Kansas in January of 1949, from this union two daughters were born; Patti and Karen. Lee has left his legacy in seven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
He was known for his kindness, good sense of humor and the love he had for his family. He was the kind of man whom took care of his family, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. We all adored, respected and loved him dearly. He was know for telling his jokes, playing card and dominoes while enjoying family and friends.
Lee was preceded in death by a ten year companion Betty Puckett.
He wished to be cremated and memorial services will be held by family members. The family would like to personally thank the staff of Amedisys Home Health and River Cross Hospice for all the care and support.
