Eva Grace (Wilson) Schafer(1921-2013)

Eva Grace Wilson Schafer, 91. of Lebanon, died Wednesday, January 30th.
She was born May 16, 1921 in Dewey, Oklahoma to James and Ada Wilson. On September 18, 1938 she married Lawrence Schafer her husband till his death in 1994. She graduated from Dewey High School and business College before working as a dental assistant and executive secretary for the local draft board and other Civil Service positions in Bartlesville, Oklahoma.
She became a Christian at the age of nine and was active in her church all her life, she taught Sunday School, led the Choir and served in many other areas, such as teaching in the literacy ministry. She loved growing flowers and arranging them for the Church and her home.
She was preceded in death by a brother Billy Jim Wilson and his wife Luada, and a sister Margie Wilson Drake.
She is survived by her son Larry (Lew) Schafer, two sisters, Helen Huffman of Dewey, Oklahoma and Shirley May of Grove, Oklahoma, two grandchildren, Patrick Schafer, his wife Toni and Amy Schafer all of Lebanon, and four great-grandchildren, Sharon Schafer Binford, Jessica Jane Shockley, Samuel David Schafer and Charles Joseph Schafer.
She was a faithful Christian and loving mother, she will be greatly missed.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, February the 9th 2013 in the Dewey Cemetery.
