Evelyn Imogene ""Jean"" Coffman(1918-2013)

Mrs. Evelyn Imogene "Jean" Coffman, 95, former resident of Nowata, died at 7:14 A.M. on Thursday, October 10, 2013 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, October 12, 2013 in the Living Word Family Church in Nowata, Oklahoma. Interment will be in the Nowata Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of the Stumpff-Nowata Funeral Home.
Evelyn Imogene Coffman was born September 16, 1918 near Kiefer, Oklahoma to Jesse Alvin and Nellie Laura Ellen (Stroud) Carley. She was raised and received her education in Bristow, Oklahoma. She was married to Judge Leslie Jerome Coffman on January 15, 1947 at Sapulpa, Oklahoma. They made their home in Nowata where Mr. Coffman was the District Judge and practiced law. Mrs. Coffman was active in real estate rental and owned various businesses in Nowata. Mrs. Coffman was also an ordained minister and taught Bible classes at the Living Word Family Church. She was an avid traveler and made several trips to the Holy Land.
Survivors include three daughters Cecily McCulley of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Jan Coffman-O'Neal of Keller, Texas and Lyn Gray of Tulsa, Oklahoma; one son Camden Coffman of Nowata; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews including Marla Eden. Mrs. Coffman was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers Jesse Carley and Ray Carley; five sisters Wendelen Nelon, Weletta Carley, Thelma Kinney, Winnie Jenkins and Dorothea Truly.
