Henry K. Hachmuth, age 77, and longtime resident of Bartlesville, Oklahoma passed away on December 29, 2013 in the St. John Medical Center, Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Henry Karl Hachmuth was born on May 28, 1936 in Webb City, Oklahoma. He was the son of Karl H. Hachmuth and Margaret G. (Johnson) Hachmuth. He and his family moved to Bartlesville during his early years. He attended Jefferson, Horace Mann, McKinley and Garfield Schools (grades 1-6) in Bartlesville. He continued his education in Bartlesville and in 1953, he graduated Bartlesville College High School. He furthered his education by attending the University of Missouri at Rolla, graduating in 1967 with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering.
In 1958, Henry enlisted in the U.S. Army
, receiving his Honorable Discharge in 1961. He became an employee of Phillips Petroleum Company in June of 1966 where his Chemical Engineering career lasted 32 years. He retired in July of 1998.
On May 11, 1985, Henry and Fatima Silva were united in marriage in their home in Osage County where they have lived since that time.
Survivors include his wife, Fatima of the family home; two sons, Karl H. S. Hachmuth of Illinois, and James M.S. Hachmuth of New Jersey; and sisters, Margaret "Gretchen" Tek, of Kalua Kona, Hawaii, Kay H. Allan of Chataqua, Kansas, Clare H. Wilson of Honolulu, Hawaii, and Spirit Williams of Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Barbara J. Hachmuth.
