Pawhuska native Juanita C. Corle passed away Monday, Sept. 3, 2012 in the Jane Phillips Medical Center, Bartlesville, Okla.
She was 88 years old.
Juanita was born Jan. 4, 1924 in Pawhuska, the daughter of Isadoro and Marcellina (Servin) Elias. On June 15, 1951, she married James B. Corle in Bartlesville. He preceded her in death April 28, 1983. For 25 years, Juanita worked as a Nurse's Aide. In her spare time, she loved watching football, working word and jigsaw puzzles, and she enjoyed cooking. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
Surviving are: her son James R. Corle and wife, Toni; grandchildren James Sanford Hunt, Jr. (wife Rhonda), Alicia Dawn Hunt (husband Justin), James Ryan Corle (wife Heather), Kati Moore (husband Clint), Justin Merrick (wife Amy), Sadie Hunt; great grandchildren Hannah Hunt, Mackenzie Hunt, Lexi Jo Porter and Alex Dillion James Porter; sister Conda Espinosa; son-in-law James S. Hunt; and a host of other family and friends.
In addition to her husband, Juanita was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter, Jo Ann C. Hunt; and siblings Bernardo, Domingo, Joe Jr., Raymond, Marshall, Ted, John and Ramona.
Rosary will be recited Thursday, September 6, 6 p.m., at the McCartney's Johnson Funeral Home. Mass will be held Friday, Sept. 7, 2 p.m., at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church of Pawhuska. Interment will be in the Pawhuska City Cemetery.
