Mrs. Lola Deloris Hays, 90, of Copan, died at 10:56 A.M. on Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at the Bartlesville Health & Rehab Community.
Services for Mrs. Hays will be held at 1 P.M Saturday, April 13, 2013 at the Curtis Family Cemetery at Copan. The family will gather prior to the services at the home of Calvin Mason at Copan. Cremation arrangements were under the direction of the Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory.
Mrs. Hays was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on July 19, 1922 the daughter of Mabel Inez (Spencer) Curtis and James Fredrick Curtis. She grew up and received her education in the Copan area and graduated from Copan High School. She was married to Roy B. Hays in 1942 and they made their home in the Copan. Mr. Hays preceded her in death in 1957. Mrs. Hays was active as a secretary for Phillips Petroleum Company for 37 years until her retirement. She was a member of the Jane Phillips Sorority and an active member of the Copan Baptist Church.
Mrs. Hays is survived by four grandchildren, Greg Hays of Owasso, Sean Tompkins of Broken Arrow, Stewart Tompkins and Bear Tompkins, both of Copan, three great grandchildren, Jack Hays and Cole Still, both of Bixby and Parker Tompkins of Broken Arrow, one niece and numerous nephews. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her parents, two sons, Roy B. Hays Jr. and Daniel Allen Hays, a brother, Bill Curtis, a sister, Jackie Mason, and a sister-in-law, Jeanne Curtis.
