Mrs. Margaret Jane Nickels, 80, of Bartlesville, died at 1:30 P.M. on Friday, September 21, 2012 at the AdamsParc Rehab Center.
Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Nickels will be held at 11 A.M. on Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at the Memorial Park Cemetery with Pastor Jim Paslay of the First Baptist Church in Henryetta officiating and directed by the Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory.
Mrs. Nickels was born at Fall River, Kansas on July 31, 1932 the daughter of Earl Harvey and Meda Arstella (Condon) Felter. She grew up in Kansas and graduated from Eureka High School in 1948 and was then employed at the Greenwood County Courthouse in Eureka as an accountant and stenographer. She was married to Donald Milton Nickels on December 3, 1954 at Eureka, Kansas. They made their home briefly in Eureka, Ponca City, Oklahoma and Barnsdall, Oklahoma until moving to Bartlesville. Mrs. Nickels attended Bartlesville Business College and following her graduation she was employed with Phillips Petroleum Company for a year. She was then active as a homemaker and stay at home mother. She has been active in the PTA at Oak Park Elementary School, was a member of the First Baptist Church, was a good cook and a wonderful grandmother.
Mrs. Nickels is survived by one daughter, Cheryl Dawn Williamson of Tulsa, two sons, Clark Earl Nickels and wife Anita Lynn of Norman, Okla., and Craig Dale Nickels and wife Angie of Bartlesville, one sister, Linda Gray of Alvin, Texas, and six grandchildren, Breanna Dawn Pierce and husband Joshua, Michael Brett Williamson, Andrea Renee Nickels, Amanda Lynn Nickels, Randon Kyle Nickels and Cameron Scott Nickels. She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers, Keith Felter, Earl Felter, Leonard Felter, Jack Felter and Dean Felter, three sisters, Glynis Abraham, Ena Shriver, and Mila Sue Lambright and her husband, Donald Milton Nickels on March 25, 2012.
