Margaret Jayne Keller was born on September 11, 1947 in Bartlesville, OK to Russell R. and Bernice J. (Jackson) Cole. She received her education at Bartlesville Schools, graduating from College High School in 1965. She continued her education at Bartlesville Business College before working as a secretary at Reda Pump.
Margaret loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and lived her life in service to Him. She learned of Jesus at home and at New Harmony Baptist Church, where she accepted Him as Lord. She served in Children's Ministries over the years in various churches, from New Harmony to Dewey First United Methodist Church, then on to Bartlesville Southern Baptist, teaching Sunday School and working in the nursery for many years. Her last ministry assignment was at Oglesby Assembly of God, where she served in girls' ministries, taught Sunday School, and sang in the Praise Team.
She was married on November 29, 1968. That marriage resulted in the birth of her two children, James Randolph (Randy) and Christina Jayne (Christy). She poured herself into her children, focusing on raising them with God's help. Every decision that she made was centered around the welfare of her children. She cleaned houses and businesses while the children were young so that she could set her schedule around them. She later took computer classes and went back into secretarial work as Financial Secretary at Bartlesville Southern Baptist Church. Many remember her from her time working at Stumpff Funeral Home, where she touched the lives of many for the last 14 years.
Margaret is survived by her father, Russell R. Cole of Bartlesville; her son, Rev. J. Randy Keller and wife Jeanna of White Oak; her daughter, Mrs. Christy Kelley and husband Stephen of Bartlesville; her sisters Mrs. Judy Raye Topping and husband Larry of Bartlesville and Mrs. Colleen Maye Dinger of DeQueen, AR; her grandchildren Andrew, Macyn and Moriah Keller and Logan, Harmony and Gavin Kelley; and numerous cousins, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Bernice Jayne Cole, and a nephew, Rusty Topping. Friends who wish may sign the online guest book and leave condolences at www.stumpff.org.
