Norma Louise Exendine(1944-2014)

Norma Exendine passed away Sunday, February 23, 2014. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 27, 2014 in the Walker-Brown Chapel with Charlie Tate officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Walker-Brown Funeral Home.

Norma Louise Exendine was born May 29, 1944 in Mounds, OK to Thomas John and Mary Magdalene (Boatright) Exendine. Norma received her teaching degree from Northeastern State University and was an English teacher and librarian in the Caney Valley Public School system for 22 years. She was a member of Happy Hill Church, worked at The Voice of the Martyrs and was an avid researcher of family history.
Norma is survived by two daughters: Melita Louise Tate of Broken Arrow and Lisa Marie Byrd of Los Angeles, CA. She was blessed with five grandchildren: Seth, Joseph, Carly, Morgan and Matthew. Her remaining family includes one brother, David Ray Exendine of Sapulpa, numerous nieces, nephews, students and many friends.
Norma was preceded in death by her parents, sister Betty Mae Casto and brother John Wayne Exendine.
