Robert D. "Flipper" Stewart(1956-2012)

Robert D. Stewart (Flipper), loving husband & son, a long-time resident of Bartlesville, died Friday morning, November 2, 2012.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 9, 2012 at the East Bartlesville Christian Church located at 3221 Tuxedo Blvd.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in honor of Mr. Stewart to the and contributions may be mailed to PO Box 841125 Dallas, Texas 75284-1125 or a donation may be made to our local Washington County SPCA.
Robert was born on October 4, 1956 in Peoria, Illinois to Manfred and Betty Jo (Shupe) Stewart. He graduated from Baxter Springs High School in Baxter Springs, Kansas in 1974 and began working in construction. On September 10, 1988, Robert and Carol Ann Combs were united in marriage in Fairland, Oklahoma. The couple made their home in Bartlesville. Robert owned and operated several dump trucks and had a natural stone business. When not working, he enjoyed being with family and visiting with friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Manfred Stewart and one brother, Dan Stewart.
Robert is survived by his wife Carol, of the home, his mother, Betty Jo Norton of Bartlesville, one nephew, Joel Stewart & wife, Piper of Pittsburg, KS, brother-in-law, Gary Combs & wife, Jerri of Siloam Springs, AR, one niece, Adrian Combs & great niece, Hailie Griffith of Tulsa, OK.
