Ronald Mark Trtan(1943-2013)

Mr. Ronald Mark Trtan, 69, of Bartlesville, died at 4:30 P.M. on Saturday, February 23, 2013 at the Jane Phillips Medical Center.
Funeral services for Mr. Trtan will be held at 10 A.M. Thursday, February 28, 2013 in the Stumpff Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike McDougan officiating. Military rites will be accorded by the James H. Teel American Legion Post # 105. Funeral services and cremation are under the direction of the Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory.
The Trtan family will receive guests for visitation at the Stumpff Funeral Home on Wednesday evening from 5 P.M. until 7 P.M.

Mr. Trtan was born in East Chicago, Indiana on August 5, 1943 to Mark and Antonia (Mance) Trtan. He grew up and received his education in East Chicago and graduated from high school there. He entered the U.S. Army on September 18, 1966 during the Viet Nam Conflict served in the Military Police Brigade. Following his release from the Army on July 29, 1968, he came to Oklahoma to attend Spartan School of Aeronautics in Tulsa and was then employed with Phillips Petroleum Company. He was employed with Phillips in Bartlesville for 25 year maintaining the corporate aircraft fleet until his retirement. Following his retirement he became involved in Buffalo Wild Wings franchises in Bartlesville, Missouri and Alabama.
Mr. Trtan is survived by his wife, B.J. Birmingham of Bartlesville, one sister, Valerie Trtan of East Chicago, Indiana, two aunts and several cousins and his lifelong best friend, James Bruno and wife Nancy. He was preceded in death by his parents and several aunts and uncles.
