Samuel LuDon Garrett, 87, resident of Bartlesville, died at 1:50 PM on Tuesday, April 15, 2014, in Bartlesville, Oklahoma.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, April 18, 2014 in the Mt. Washington Cemetery at Lenapah, Oklahoma with Chaplain Mike McDougan officiating. Graveside services and interment will be under the direction of the Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory.

Samuel LuDon Garrett was born July 19, 1926 at Okesa, Oklahoma to Pearley Rando and Grace Lea (Samuels) Garrett. He was raised and received his education in Okesa. Sam entered the U.S. Army
and served four years. He returned to the Bartlesville area and was employed with National Zinc Corp. before beginning his career with Phillips Petroleum Company. Sam was employed in the Research and Development Division of Phillips until retiring in 1985. He was married to Yvonna Mae Purvine on August 7, 1970 at Bartlesville.
Survivors include his wife Yvonna Mae Garrett of the family home in Bartlesville; three daughters Mikla LaDawn Garrett Williams of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Donna Lou Luster of Catoosa, Oklahoma and Glenda Gale Lollis of Claremore, Oklahoma; one brother Gene Garrett of Tulsa; two sisters Elaine Morrow of Texas and Shirley Webster of Lenapah, Oklahoma; four grandchildren Blace Williams, Aaron Luster, Erica Chester and Donnie Lollis; six great-grandchildren Hunter, Dakota, Hailee, Alec, Katilen and Wayne Lee. Sam was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers Byrl Garrett and Blaine Garrett and one sister Carol Meeker.
