Sandra Kay Holman, 71, died Wednesday at her home in Ramona.
Sandra, the daughter of Dale & Aletha Dunbar, was born Feb. 18, 1942, in Caldwell, KS, and she was raised in South Haven, KS. On July 3, 1959, she was united in marriage with Robert Holman. He was a high school football coach. They both shared their love for football. While he coached she served as statistician for the teams. She was a homemaker and wonderful mother. The family lived and coached across five states - Kansas, Oklahoma, Oregon, Colorado and Texas. Along the way, six children were born and raised.
Sandra was an excellent cook and most everyone wanted her recipes. She enjoyed gardening, stitchery, sewing, music, and spending time with family & friends. Those closest to her knew her as the "Skipbo Queen". She was a cheerleader for those who needed a hand, and wanted them to know they were important to her and Jesus. She was loved by all who knew her. She enjoyed the fellowship and visiting various churches, her membership was Parsons Church of the Nazarene.
Sandra is survived by her six children, Robert Holman, Natalie El-Moghrabi, Nathan Holman, Julie Davis, Micah Holman and Esther Coker; one sister Rita Blakesley, one brother Thomas Dunbar; sixteen grandchildren, many great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, one brother Jimmy Dunbar, five grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
Friends may view and sign the register Friday 10am - 8pm, and Saturday 9am - 11am.
Funeral services for Sandy will be held Saturday, June 22, 2013, 2pm at the Bartlesville First Church of the Nazarene. Interment will follow in the Ramona Cemetery. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.DavisFamilyFuneralHome.com.
