Scott A. Lovell
Scott A. Lovell, 55, resident of Dewey, died Tuesday, April 1, 2014 in Tulsa.
Scott was born June 4, 1958, in Sacramento, California, the son of Charles Avery Lovell and Billie Louise (Payne) Lovell. He was raised in Westwood, California. After Scott's father's death in 1968, Scott and his Mother moved to Bartlesville, Oklahoma. As a youth, Scott was active in baseball. He attended Sooner High School until 1974, then returned to California and graduated from Susanville High School in 1978. After graduating high school, Scott returned to Bartlesville where he worked for Phillips Petroleum Company on the Seismograph crew in Louisiana. He also worked for Bartlesville Print Company, Oklahoma Offset, Kopco, and most recently at Spears Manufacturing. Scott enjoyed bowling and was a member of several different bowling teams. His one true passion in life was fishing. Even as a boy you could always find him with a fishing pole in his hand.
Scott is survived by his beloved life partner, Kenita Maples, of the home; one brother, Gary Lovell and his wife Jan Lovell, formerly of Bartlesville, now of Hawaii; one sister-in-law, Shirley (BJ) Thomas, of Copperas Cove, TX, and one niece, JoAnn Lovell Bustos, of Oklahoma City. He was preceded in death by his parents; one older brother, BJ Thomas of Copperas cove, TX; and one nephew, Terry Thomas, of Fort Worth, TX.
