Mr. Denzil E. Robinson, 68, of Bartlesville, died at 11:29 P.M. Friday March 28, 2014 in Bartlesville.
Graveside Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday at the Oglesby Cemetery, with Pastor Sherman Jaquess of the Matoaka Baptist Church officiating. Interment will be in the Oglesby Cemetery under the direction of the Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory. Military Honors will be presented at the graveside by the members of the Bartlesville American Legion, James H. Teel Post #105.

Mr. Robinson was born on January 21, 1946 at Bartlesville, Oklahoma to Denzil E. Robinson Sr. and Hazel Wanita (Pierce) Robinson. He was raised and educated in the Bartlesville, graduating from College High School in 1964. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in October of 1965, and served during the Vietnam War until his honorable discharge in 1971. Following his discharge he began working as a construction worker, with his father in law, building silos, and later as a cowboy working on various farms and ranches in the area, as a cowhand and farm worker, and as a jack of all trades. He was married to Sharon King on March 21st of 1975 at Avant Oklahoma, and they made their home in Avant, and then later in Bartlesville. His hobbies were his family, horses, riding, roping, and teaching kids to ride and rope.
Mr. Robinson is survived by a son Tyree Robinson of West Plains, Missouri, a daughter Summer Watkins and husband Terry of West Plains Missouri, a two brothers, Steve A. Robinson and wife LaVonna of Bartlesville, and Randy Robinson and wife Janet of Dewey, by two sisters, Earlene Smith and husband Jim of Bartlesville, and by Sherry Owen and husband Frank of Bartlesville, five grandchildren; Shayla Brazeal, Brayden Colvin, Elizabeth Robinson, Abigail Robinson, and Madison Robinson, and by numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and by a sister, Pamela Robinson, as an infant, and his wife Sharon Robinson in October of 2012.
