James Lawrence Lawhead was born November 28, 1953 in Abington, PA to Bernie and Pauline (McClain) Lawhead. Jimmy was a veteran who served his country in the United States Marine Corp during the Vietnam War. After his discharge from the service, he worked various jobs throughout Pennsylvania and Texas, finally settling down near family in Oklahoma. Jimmy was a friend to all who knew him. He was quick with a laugh and loved a good joke. One of his favorite pastimes was fishing. He would sit patiently at his favorite spot and didn't care if they were biting or not. Jimmy loved life, his friends, family and his faithful dog Bobbi who was with him until the end. He will certainly be missed by friends and family alike.
Jimmy is survived by his mother, Pauline and sister, Cathy Nailon of Pennsylvania and numerous other family members both in Pennsylvania and Oklahoma.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his father, Bernie Lawhead.
