Karen Lee Cummings, age 66, Westerville, Ohio. After a 12-year fight with breast cancer, Karen left this earthly life to be with her Holy Father on Tuesday, December 10, 2013. She peacefully passed in her home surrounded by her family and loved ones.

Her father, Henry L. Buck, precedes her in death.
She is survived by her husband, Dennis, her daughters, Denise McGaha and Dana Shipley, and her son, Kelly; her mother, Bonnie Thaxton, her brother, Douglas Buck; her nine grandchildren, Jared, Dustin, Allyson, Bailey, Camryn, Greyson, Blake, Korenna, and Maddox.
Karen was born in Nowata, Oklahoma, where she attended Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College. As a wife, a mother, and a grandmother, Karen built her home and raised her family in Knoxville, Tennessee. She later moved to Columbus, Ohio where she has resided for the last 15 years. Karen's passion for life and love of family is how she will be remembered. Whether she was playing tennis, keeping her grandchildren, or traveling to see her children and grandchildren play sports, Karen thrived off the energy of experiences. As a dear wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, she truly will be missed.
A "Celebration of Life" service will be held on Saturday, December 14th at 3pm at Genoa Baptist Church in Westerville, Ohio. A fellowship and dinner will follow the service.
