Mr. A.J. Bellmyer, 76, passed away on Saturday, November 9, 2013 in Bartlesville OK.
A.J. was born January 12, 1937 in Dewey OK. He was the ninth child of twelve born to Evelyn Bell Wagaman Bellmyer and Arlie Jessie Bellmyer. He was reared and attended school in Copan.
A.J. spent his life and setting up homestead between Copan OK and Baytown TX. For the past 30 years of his life he made Baytown TX his home. After the passing of his wife Sandy in 2009, he decided to move back to Oklahoma – Kansas area to spend time with his brothers and sisters. There he lived the rest of his life enjoying family and causing trouble.
A.J. had a great sense of humor and lived his life his way. He enjoyed debating topics of the day with anyone that dared to go toe to toe with him. He played hard and he worked just as hard. A.J. did his best to take care of his family and did what he could to help others. If anyone was to ask us to describe A.J., we would say that he was just as ornery as he was honest. He will be truly and dearly missed.
Survivors include his children, Anthony Bellmyer and wife Jeannette, Pamela Bellmyer, Debora Bellmyer, Susan Bellmyer and husband Jimmy San Miguel, Devry McAdams, Patrick Bellmyer and wife Sheryl, Aaron Bellmyer and wife Tonia, and Jeff Bellmyer, Ten Grandchildren and Four Great Grandchildren. Four brothers, Gerald Bellmyer of Center, TX, Elmer Bellmyer of Clarksville, TX, J. C. Bellmyer of Dewey, OK, and Fred Bellmyer of Caney, KS; sisters, Mrs. Maxine Medearis of Weatherford, TX, Mrs. Louise Brown and Mrs. Harriet Thomas both of Copan, OK. He was preceded in death by his wife Sandy, parents Evelyn Bellmyer and Arlie Bellmyer, and brothers, Gene, Russell, Larry Joe and Bobby Ray Bellmyer.
