Mrs. Ardelle Elaine Wilson, 81, of Bartlesville, died at 3:30 A.M. Saturday, February 9, 2013 in Bartlesville.

Funeral services for Mrs. Wilson will be held at 10 A.M. on Wednesday, February 13, 2013 in the Stumpff Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Robert Hamm of Edmond officiating. Interment will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery directed by the Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory.
Casket escorts will include Nicholas Wilson, Danny Wilson, Randy Everett, Jim Lively, Rollie Lykins, Ollie Kocher and Andy Musgrave.
The Wilson family will receive guests for visitation at the Stumpff Funeral Home on Tuesday evening from 6 PM until 8 P.M.

Mrs. Wilson was born in Santa Ana, California on February 21, 1931 to Eugene Clayton and Hazel Sylvia (Hilgers) Onwiler. She grew up and received her education in California, Michigan and Texas graduating from Abilene High School in Abilene, Texas. She attended Abilene Christian College where she received her Bachelor's degree. She worked as a secretary in the Midland, Texas school system and she was married to James Clifton Wilson Sr. on April 3, 1954 at Abilene, Texas. They made their home in Borger, Texas where she worked for the City of Borger for two years and then for Phillips Petroleum Co. The Wilson's moved to Amarillo, Texas in 1961 and she was employed for a brief period in an insurance office there. They moved to Bartlesville in April 1970 and after continuing her education and receiving her teaching certificate she taught at Caney Valley Elementary School from 1976 until her retirement in 1985. She has been active as a homemaker since that time. Mrs. Wilson was a member of the Adams Blvd. Church of Christ and a past member of the Oklahoma Education Association. Mr. and Mrs. Wilson were volunteers at the High Plains Children's Home while living in Amarillo and have also been relief house parents at the Hope Harbor Children's Home in Claremore. Mrs. Wilson was always active in looking after her church family, taking food to shut-ins and making hospital visits. Mr. and Mrs. Wilson also volunteered with the Washington County Election Board.
Mrs. Wilson is survived by her husband, James Clifton Wilson Sr. of the home in Bartlesville, two sons, Cliff Wilson and wife Myrna of Bartlesville and David Wilson and wife Michele of Lake Jackson, Texas, one sister, Carol Jean Cutler of Amarillo, Texas, five grandchildren, Mindy Casey, Nicholas Wilson, Misty Wilson, Danny Wilson and wife Kenzie and Marissa Wilson, and three great grandchildren, Jakob Casey, Samuel Casey and Noah Casey. She was preceded in death by her parents and her grandson-in-law, Michael Casey.
