Mr. Bobby Gene Spears, 81, of Bartlesville, died at 9:15 P.M. on Friday, November 15, 2013 at the Medicalodge of Dewey.

Graveside funeral services for Mr. Spears will be held at 11 A.M. Tuesday, November 19, 2013 at the Memorial Park Cemetery. Funeral services and interment are under the direction of the Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory.
A memorial has been established and those who wish may send their contributions to the Washington County SPCA, 16620 State Highway 123, Bartlesville, Oklahoma 74003.
Mr. Spears was born on July 27, 1932 at Lincoln, Arkansas to Ray E. and Clara (McReynolds) Spears. He grew up and received his education in the Bartlesville area where he came with his family. At a young age he began his lifelong career in the oil field rig cementing business. He was the manager of Rig Cementing for a number of years and later began his own company, Oil Rig Cementing, in which he was part owner and vice president until his retirement in the late 1990's. Mr. Spears was a resident of the Bartlesville area all of his life and he loved to fish and tinker. In his younger years he sponsored and helped build stock cars.
Survivors include six children which include two daughters, Regina Haller and husband Earl of Bartlesville and Patricia Wright and husband Scott of Burleson, Texas, and four step-children, Kathy Hughes and husband Joe of Bartlesville, Linda Franklin of Bartlesville, Greg Layton of Fayetteville, Arkansas and Jeff Layton of Tulsa, two brothers, Jack Spears of Benton, Louisiana and Cletis "Tinse" Spears of Bartlesville, twelve grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren and his best friend and canine companion, Bo the dog. Mr. Spears was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Fredis Spears. a grandson, Earl E. "E.J." Haller in 2008, a niece, Pam Sroufe and a nephew, Sam Spears.
